RAMAR Transportation · Getting started
Care, from door to door.
One workspace for assisted living facilities, your dispatch team, and drivers. Connect the services below to start coordinating non-emergency rides.
- 1
Connect your AWS database
RAMAR stores companies, facilities, drivers, and rides in an AWS RDS PostgreSQL database, protected by row-level security and encrypted connections.
- 2
Connect Amazon Cognito
Sign-in, account creation, and password reset run through Amazon Cognito. Each account is linked to a company role by your dispatcher.
- 3
Connect the people in your company
Create your dispatcher account, then select Create my company after signing in. In Dispatch settings, add facilities and connect registered facility and driver accounts.
- 4
Add Google Maps
Enable Maps JavaScript API, Maps Embed API, and Routes API in Google Cloud. Add a restricted browser key and a separate server Routes key to your environment. Full instructions are in README.md.
- 5
Try a ride from request to arrival
Sign in as a facility, request a ride, then assign a driver from dispatch. Enable Driver claiming in Dispatch settings to let drivers claim open rides. Drivers share location and update ride status.
Your project’s README.md contains the complete walkthrough and test instructions. The demo uses fictional data and resets on refresh. Real arrival estimates require a connected driver account with a fresh shared location. Insurance verification and payments are not yet connected to live services.
